Pump controllers are used in conjunction with Ktech Multi-level float switches. Two contacts are used to start and stop the pump. A relay circuit switches power to the fractional horsepower pump motor or to the three-phase contactor of a large pump motor. Similarly, the switch contacts can be used to operate solenoid valves. U.S. Wilo pump companies unify into one organizational structure

Centrifugal Pump Alignment

For appropriate applications, the time, expertise and instruments needed to achieve precision alignment (tolerances of less than 0.005 in) will prevent seal leakage and extend bearing life. Depending on such factors as operating speed and coupling type, not all pumps will require such precise alignment. When assessing a plant’s alignment needs, it helps to understand basic shaft alignment concepts and procedures, as well as application-specific factors that dictate the required tolerances. Watson-Marlow Pump opens new offices
Posted on June 8th, 2009 No commentsWatson-Marlow Pumps Group has announced that it has opened two new offices in Zurich and Mexico City. The group can now offer Swiss customers direct shipment from its UK plant in Falmouth. Sales engineer Walter Burger will head the Swiss operation. The Watson-Marlow sales division in Mexico, operational from 1 April, will be working to satisfy customer demand for its pump products, particularly in the mining sector. The new operation, Watson-Marlow S de RL de CV, is under the management of Latin America’s sales manager, Rolando Sanchez. Guillermo Tellez has been appointed as sales manager for Mexico. The team will oversee the transition of operations from Watson-Marlow Inc. in the USA. The two new sales offices in Switzerland and Mexico follow the opening of the Watson-Marlow Pumps Group office in Russia in 2008.
