Effective June 1, Thomasville, Georgia-based Wilo EMU USA LLC and Melrose Park, Illinois-based Wilo USA LLC are united throughout all phases of operation, from sales through manufacturing. Watson-Marlow Pump opens new offices
Posted on June 8th, 2009 No commentsWatson-Marlow Pumps Group has announced that it has opened two new offices in Zurich and Mexico City. The group can now offer Swiss customers direct shipment from its UK plant in Falmouth. Sales engineer Walter Burger will head the Swiss operation. The Watson-Marlow sales division in Mexico, operational from 1 April, will be working to satisfy customer demand for its pump products, particularly in the mining sector. The new operation, Watson-Marlow S de RL de CV, is under the management of Latin America’s sales manager, Rolando Sanchez. Guillermo Tellez has been appointed as sales manager for Mexico. The team will oversee the transition of operations from Watson-Marlow Inc. in the USA. The two new sales offices in Switzerland and Mexico follow the opening of the Watson-Marlow Pumps Group office in Russia in 2008.

U.S. House Votes $6.4 Billion for Greener Schools
Posted on May 24th, 2009 No commentsThe U.S. House of Representatives last week passed a $6.4 billion bill to fund school modernization and make schools more energy efficient. The bill, which passed 275 — 155 now moves to the Senate for consideration.
According to the House Education and Labor Committee, the legislation also would make schools part of the program to boost the U.S. economy and fight global warming by “creating clean energy jobs that will help put workers in hard-hit industries back to work,” said a committee report.
