Sewer Project Flowing Along
Posted on May 21st, 2009 No commentsSAUGUS - The town is now three years into a sweeping 10-year project to rehabilitate the entire sewer system and thus far, it’s on time and under budget. Paul Ross of Camp Dresser McKee met with selectmen Tuesday to bring them up to date on the Administrative Consent Order that was mandated by the Department of Environmental Protection in 2005. The order essentially stated the town sewers had to stop dumping in the river and reduce the amount of inflow and infiltration or excess waste water getting into the system.

Water will flow again with use of sump pump
Posted on May 19th, 2009 No commentsThe water will soon be flowing from Richmond to the residents of Henrietta. On Saturday the Henrietta Board of Aldermen approved a contract with Richmond to provide water services to the city. As a result, Henrietta will shut down the city’s water plant. The city will still use the water tower; however, the water tower will temporarily be out of service. The board approved a contract for about $34,000 to have the tower inspected and painted.

CMOS-NAND gates control sump pump

The circuit in Figure 1 receives 12V signals from L1 , the lower water level, and L2 , the upper level, of an underground tank. You adjust the gap between these two levels to avoid short cycling of the pump. When the water level touches the maximum level of L2 , the pump switches on to fill up the overhead tank.
